By using LyricSearch (“the Service”), accessible at lyricsear.ch, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Nature of the Service

LyricSearch is a search interface provided strictly for personal, educational, and non-commercial reference purposes. It is designed to help users study song lyrics, learn languages through music, practice vocal performance, and explore musical composition and songwriting techniques.

2. No Storage of Copyrighted Content

LyricSearch does not store, cache, index, or host any song lyrics, audio, video, or other copyrighted material on its servers. All content is retrieved in real time from third-party sources at the moment of each user request and is not persisted in any form. The Service functions as a transient search interface that displays third-party content on a pass-through basis.

3. Third-Party Content & Services

All content displayed through the Service originates from third-party providers:

4. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All song lyrics, musical compositions, sound recordings, and associated metadata are the exclusive intellectual property of their respective authors, composers, performers, publishers, and record labels. LyricSearch claims no ownership of, and no rights to, any third-party content displayed through the Service.

5. DMCA & Copyright Takedown Policy

LyricSearch respects the intellectual property rights of others and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and equivalent international copyright frameworks.

If you are a copyright owner or authorized agent and believe that content accessible through the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a takedown notice containing the following:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed.
  2. The specific content or query on the Service that you believe infringes your work.
  3. Your full legal name, address, and contact information.

IN NO EVENT SHALL LYRICSEARCH, ITS OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

7. User Responsibilities

By using the Service, you agree that you will:

  • Use the Service only for lawful, personal, and educational purposes.
  • Not systematically scrape, copy, download, or redistribute lyrics or any other content accessed through the Service.

8. Privacy

LyricSearch does not collect personal data. Recent search history is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and is never transmitted to our servers. No cookies, analytics trackers, or third-party tracking scripts are used by the Service itself. Third-party embeds (YouTube) may set their own cookies per their respective privacy policies.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from the use of the Service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the operator’s jurisdiction.
